The black cable/strap has snapped and i want to know if there is anything i can do to fix it. It's located on the left (your left) of the ipods front facing camera. The pieces are still attached to the ipod

You will need to replace the digitizer unfortunately there is no way to reconnect it once it's torn.

There is no way you are able to fix the cord you will just have to get a new screen. I am very sorry
