I just replaced my auger motor in my Whirlpool side by side. It worked for like a second then stopped working. It is a brand new auger motor. So any ideas? The cup button works and opens the chute but the new auger motor does not turn.
I found wires at the bottom of the freezer door that are cut. Could this be my problem with the icemaker not working

Unfortunately I cannot find a download online for a WRS588FIHZ04 (Whirlpool part # W11575236) or for that matter a WRS588FIHV06 (part # W11610658) either, so I'm hoping that the tech sheet for a WRS588FIHV00 model uses the same diagnostic procedures to test the components in your model.
Enter the diagnostic mode a shown by the sheet and perform tests #44, #45, #47 & #48 and check the results.
If you find the problem and a different part needs replacing here's the parts list for your model. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is listed with it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.

The tech sheet shows a yellow wire going to the ice maker switch but no green/white wire but as I said, this tech sheet is not for your exact model.
Best thing to do is to join, solder and sleeve new wires between each end of the two broken wires (colour for colour) to bridge the break in each wire and check if it then works OK.

Please confirm the complete model number of the refrigerator?
There are 3 models beginning with WRS588FIHV i.e. WRS588FIHV00, WRS588FIHV04 & WRS588FIHV06 and they're not all exactly wired the same.
