Well, I replaced the psu in my unit now it powers up. But I get the folder with the question mark when the LCD lights up. Looks like problem is the hard drive. I'm aiming to replace it but can it take a 1 terrabyte drive?

Yes it will take a 1 TB 3.5" SATA hard drive. The only problem you may run into is using the jumpers to slow the drive down to a transfer rate of 1.5 GHz, this info can be found on most drives by doing a search for the name of the drive and jumpers to get the setting.
