Why won't it turn?

To start I had sprayed 91% alcohol on the fins inside the drum that breaks up the clothing. Slightly.. also some vinegar was added to the mixture. My dryer has been working. After I turned it off and had already sprayed it while it was turning and working properly it then refuses to now turn and I can't turn it myself either it is stiff. Have I added too much alcohol and if so how can I unstick this? I don't want to add oil into the dryer itself to be blown around because it won't functionally work that way anyway. Is there a place I can spray WD-40 inside the dryer drum fitting that I can reach from the inside or do I have to open up the outside? Is there another way besides this?

Thanks

If the dryer makes any noise when you push the start button but the drum does not turn, the most likely cause is the motor start capacitor. Be certain to discharge the capacitor with a piece of insulated wire or an insulated tool and touch the + & -- terminals at the same time.

When you remove the wires from the capacitor, use pliers to grip the top of the connectors (the metal part where it's crimped), because pulling on the wire can cause the wire to break or pull out of the connector when the insulation stretches.

Here are several things you can check yourself if the dryer is not making any attempt to spin.

1. Be certain the plug is pushed in tight.

2.Check to see if the breaker tripped.

3. Dryer door is shut tight.

4. Dryer Control Lock is on

If you’re still experiencing issues with your dryer not starting, it could be that your Control Lock is on. This is a safety feature designed to prevent unintended use of your appliance. Refer to your owner’s manual to turn off this feature.

Beyond that, the control unit is not working and you will need to call for service. Don't spray any thing on the motor, heating coil, belt or outside of drum, not only will it create a fire hazard, but none of those components need to be lubed. If you can hear the motor running, but the drum is not turning, the belt has slipped off or broken, or the drum has frozen.

what do i do if the drum is frozen?

If you can't spin the drum by hand, the supports for the drum may have worn out, broken off, or seized up, depending on what type of support the dryer uses. Also, if your dryer has a bearing that supports it on the back end, it could be seized. The first thing you want to do is look around the inside at the front of the drum and be certain there is no clothing wedged in the drum support.
