Xbox 360 S Eject button to boot doesn't work right away

I have a never opened Xbox 360 S and I've seen this problem on a few others but I'm too new to all of this figure out what is going on.

If the 360 has been unplugged for awhile and I plug it in, then push the eject button I hear a beep and nothing happens. If I wait ~30 seconds then try again it will beep, power on, and open the disk tray. If I spam the button I continue to hear the beep but it will only work after ~30 seconds. The power button works every time without issue.

I have another 360s that I can test with and I'm able to plug it in, power it on with the eject button, put the game I want to play in, close it and by the time it has booted I'm able to launch the game.

I'm thinking I should recap the "broken" one because that's my only guess. It takes awhile for what ever capacitor to charge and allow it to boot. However, Why would the power button work when the eject takes time?

anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm gonna ask you a question, do you switch the disc drive from a another console? Cause on xbox 360 you can't switch disc drive without a little "hack", so maybe you just use a good disc drive but not on the good console.

The problem console is 100% original, never been opened before.

The disk drive itself on the problem console seems fine. After the 360 is powered up it opens 100% of the time, reads disks, everything works fine.... The only problem is when I first plug it in and push the eject button, I get a beep and it doesn't open.

@workforcemoat Sorry need more info, the Xbox is a "glossy" or "matte" version? And do you power it on before trying the eject button? Cause the "glossy" version power on and open the disc drive directly after pressing the eject button, but the "matte" version need ~30 sec to make the same thing after be plugged and make eject beep without make something when the eject button is pressed

It's an "Xbox 360 S White Limited Edition" so I guess it's glossy?

It's 12V 9.6A so a Corona motherboard. I plan to open and clean it if you need more information.

@workforcemoat If it's a Corona motherboard, she work like she needs to do, the Corona motherboard is the one in the "matte" version.

@nothing666 Wow, okay, so everything is fine if the disk drive doesn't open right away. Thank you!

out of curiosity, do you know why it does that? I thought it was a problem because other versions open right away.
