Late 2016 MacBook Pro there may be an issue with the memory module

Pretty much what it says in the title. My MacBook Pro is repeatedly shutting down. I’ll be in an application (happens across different apps) and it’ll shut down, black screen, then I get the message that my machine shut down unexpectedly and to press any key to continue, then to the login screen.

Diagnostics points to it being a memory module issue.

I’ve removed the back panel, but now I’m not sure what the ram is. It doesn’t present in a way that’s familiar to me.

Any suggestions or advice?

I’m out of work and depend on this machine for freelance work & income.

Thank you!

The MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar Teardown offers a logic board chip ID. Here’s a copy of the image:

The Orange marked chips are the RAM - Micron MT52L1G32D4PG-093 4 GB LPDDR3 (four chips for 16 GB total)

But before you go down that path let’s take a look at the crash report. It might tell us what is setting off the problem. View reports in Console on Mac you may want to copy off the log and review it on a second system if this system is not stable enough.
