Double tap 3 fingers on the screen to turn off magnification.

yeah it's an accessibility feature. Very easy to accidentally activate if you don't disable it in Settings. Just turn the magnifying feature off and you won't have this problem again. I remember you'll have to use two fingers to navigate though.
Has anything happened to the phone recently, such as being dropped, banged or exposed to liquids?
