Why the light doesn't turn off when the doors are closed?

With the door open, manually operate the door switch in the door jamb and check if the light goes out.

If it goes out it may be that the door is not operating the switch correctly when it is closed. Try manually operating the switch a few times to make sure that it does go out every time and make sure that you're not placing more pressure on the switch than the door would, to operate it.

If it stays on, it may be a faulty door switch.
