Hello I have this iPhone 8 with a cracked iPhone 7 screen on it at the moment, the touch works on that screen but when I try to connect the original display to it the touch do not work (also cracked)
However the iPhone 8 screen that the touch doesn’t work on, the touch does work on an iPhone SE 2 though?

Good afternoon(or whenever you read this)!
Often, cracks in a display can affect the digitizer layer of the display, causing malfunction and a loss of touch functionality.
The digitizer basically informs your device where you are touching the screen.
Often this requires replacing the whole display.

If you have been installing 7 screens on the iphone 8 check that the ground pins on the end of the touch connector are not pushed in, or disconnect the home button and see if touch works. If it does that will be your problem.
