Background and Identifications
Alcatel is a brand of mobile phones owned by Nokia and used under license by TCL Technology. The Alcatel Onetouch Go Play is a low cost, rugged smartphone released in 2015 with IP68 water and dust resistance. The device weighs only 5.33 ounces and is very compact at 5.64x2.89x0.36 inches. It features a 5 inch, 720p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with 1GB of RAM. Tom’s Guide states in this review, “The Alcatel Onetouch Go Play can survive everything from a dip in the water to an unexpected drop, making it a compelling budget option despite its lackluster performance. “
The Alcatel Onetouch Go Play has a criss-cross grip on the back of various colors, and black bezels on the front with a home button under the 5” display. A “go” logo can be found on the back of the phone under the rear camera, and the “ALCATEL onetouch” logo is on the bottom of the back of the phone. A speaker is on the bottom left of the back of the phone.
