The Audi 80 is a compact executive car build by Audi between 1966 and 1996. It owns its origins to the Audi F103 series. It originated with the B1 generation (1972–1978). The B2 generation (1978–1986) had a sharper design by Giorgetto Giugiaro and introduced the legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive technology to the lineup. The B3 generation (1986–1992) was more aerodynamic and debuted the fully galvanized body. The final version was the B4 generation (1991–1996) until the model was officially rebranded as the Audi A4.
