Bosch's GTS1031 is a portable jobsite table saw. Table saws are used to cut wood and other materials such as sheet plastic, sheet aluminum, and sheet brass during building projects. The table saw was first invented in the 16th or 17th century but was patented in 1777 by a man named Samuel Miller. Table saws have since become a staple in the construction and woodworking professions. Today, there is a range of types of table saws specific to the type of work it is being used for.
The GTS1031 Table Saw is both portable and electric. Woodworkers and other operators use the GTS1031 primarily on job sites, but due to its portability, it can be used whenever it is needed.
Three major features of the GTS1031 include a 15amp motor, 10-inch blade, and onboard storage for the removable parts. Another important feature is the all-steel lightweight base that allows for durability on job sites.
The Bosch GTS1031 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, and cannot be purchased from retailers anymore. It retailed for an average price of $399.99.
The Bosch GTS1031 has two main sections: the upper table and the lower blade adjustment. The table is a silver metal color with red detailing around the opening for the blade. The blade adjustment is a blue color with white text on it indicating the different angles the blade can be set to, with a black adjustment handle, and a red on/off switch.
The table sits directly above the blade adjustment area and is connected by silver metal bars. The table is 20 inches in length and 22.5 inches in width.
