Drager Narkomed GS Repair

The Drager Narkomed GS is an anesthesia machine that has a built-in monitor and screen to show important information involving the patient. It is specifically designed to show a patient's volume, pressure, and O2. This device is also designed to scan breathing rate, respiratory limits, respiratory flow, tidal volume, and it also supplies patients with humidified gas. The Drager Narkomed GS was designed with the ability to deliver an anesthetic agent or instead can distribute four different gases at the same time. Its features also include: AV2+Ventilator, 3 gas vaporizer configurations, battery back-up, absorber, 3-tier alarm system.

This device has an alarm that alerts physicians when there are problems with the values that are given. This product prioritizes safety of patients and in order to also regulate safety measures, the only people who are allowed to use it are people who have been thoroughly trained to use it.

The Narkomed GS was made by North American Drager (NAD) after the Narkomed 4, which was in the year of 1997. This new device design was smaller, had one screen, and was much easier to use. Then in the year of 1999, the NAD and a company called, Dragerwerk AG, joined together in order to create Draeger Medical, Inc. In 2006, the manufacturing of all GS ceased.

Due to there being many similar products on the market, the Drager Narkomed GS machine's model number is usually located on a label or plate directly on it. The location of the label or plate may differ, but is normally located on the back, side, or bottom of the machine. The instruction manual is also another good place to find the model number.
