Humane AI Pin Repair

Initially revealed in May 2023 and officially announced in July 2023, the Humane AI Pin is an AI assistant meant to replace traditional smartphones.

The AI Pin's notable lack of an LCD sets it apart from smartphones. Instead, it can be operated by voice commands, touch gestures for quick actions, or the Laser Beam Scanning Projection System.

The Humane AI Pin is available in three different finishes.

• Eclipse: Super Matte Black Anodized finish w/ Black Touchpad for $700
• Equinox: Polished Silver Finish w/ Black Touchpad for $800
• Lunar: Polished Silver Finish w/ White Touchpad $800

The AI pin was heavily criticized for its limited battery life and poor thermal control, as well as the questionable usefulness of many of the AI features. In terms of user factor, the device has been compared to smartphones in terms of its usage in daily life.

On February 18, 2025, HP announced that they had reached an agreement with Humane to acquire their AI capabilities to integrate into HP's products. This includes Humane's operating system CosmOS, technical talent, and all intellectual property relating to the AI pin, with more than 300 patents and patent applications. Customer availability, AI features, and data access was cut off on Febuary 28, 2025 at 12 pm PST.
