Manufacuted in 1999 and sold by Upper Deck Collectibles, the Michael Jordan Upper Deck Telephone was a unique collectible item designed to celebrate the basketball player Michael Jordan. This distinctive basketball-shaped corded handset features an opening design that reveals a basketball court with an animated crowd that “does the wave” when the phone rings. In addition to the mechanical animation, the phone’s design includes Michael Jordan’s signature and his “23” jersey number. Only 100,000 of these phones were produced and require four D-cell batteries.
