Background and Identification

Pressure washing is sometimes referred to as power washing. This is a method of spraying high-pressure water or water mixed with detergent onto a hard surface to clean it. The pressurized water exerts a strong force, which is extremely effective in blasting off dirt, paint, or other materials from a hard surface. Some well-known manufacturers of pressure washers are Karcher and Mi-T-M. These brands are often found when renting a pressure washer from third-party retailers such as Home Depot.

Pressure washers come in a variety of power levels and sizes. They can be used for many different projects and applications. This includes surface preparation, concrete cleaning, and outdoor restoration projects as well as vehicle cleaning and other operations. Pressure washers are also usually compatible with a variety of interchangeable nozzles. Nozzles attach to the end of the hose, and affect the direction and flow of the water. A wide nozzle will spay water from a wider angle to cover more area, while a thin nozzle can spray water in a single stream to do more exact cleaning. For safety, most pressure washers should only be used in an outdoor setting that is well-ventilated, and users should carefully follow all safety guides that are offered by the manufacturer.
