Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS User Interface Panel Replacement

The buttons on the user interface panel can become broken or stuck. This guide will show how to replace the user interface panel on the device.

    • Remove the 2.0 mm Phillips screws on both sides of the camera using the J00 bit from the 54 bit Driver Kit

    • There will be 4 total screws that need to be removed, 2 on each side

    • Remove the 4.0 mm Phillips screw located on the bottom of the camera

    • Remove the front face panel of the camera.

    • The face can be removed by hand with a firm pressure. If one point of the face is stuck to the body, ensure that there is not a screw remaining at that position to hold it in place.

    • Remove the rear panel of the camera.

    • This can be done by hand without tools using firm pressure

    • The panel may fall out on its own, this is normal.

    • Replace the user interface panel by setting it in position.
