If your Casio watch (MTD-120) has been losing time, showing incorrect time or stopping, it most likely has a dead or dysfunctional battery, which requires replacement.

A functional battery provides power to the watch such that the hands of the watch start functioning properly to show correct time.

  1. Place the watch upside down.
    • Place the watch upside down.

  2. Remove the back cover of the watch with  tweezers. This should reveal a plastic cover once the back is removed.
    • Remove the back cover of the watch with tweezers.

  3. Remove the plastic cover with the tweezers. You should now see the battery compartment.
    • Remove the plastic cover with the tweezers.

  4. Remove the battery with the tweezers.

    • Use your fingers to remove the battery if you find it difficult using the tweezers.

  5. Insert the new battery by pushing down gently.

  6. Place the plastic cover back over battery compartment. Align the marked area of the plastic cover with the crown of the watch.

  7. Put the cover back and tighten it shut by pressing on it.
