Chromecast Case Replacement

Giriş

If a Google Chromecast is dropped, there is a chance the case will lose integrity and crack or become deformed. When removing the case, the power button can become dislodged. Be sure to not lose this piece.

  1. Chromecast Case Replacement, Case: adım 1, 1 resimden 1.

    • Place the Google Chromecast face down (with text not showing) on a flat surface.

    • Insert a flat tool just above the micro-USB port to detach the top part of the case from the bottom.

    • Continue prying the top of the case from the bottom toward the HDMI port until the top casing is completely removed.

    • Remove the circuit board, lifting from the HDMI port.

    • The power button may become dislodged.

    • Pry the plastic clamp from the heatsink.

    • Do not pry too hard to avoid breaking the clamp.

  6. Chromecast Case Replacement: adım 5, 2 resimden 1. Chromecast Case Replacement: adım 5, 2 resimden 2.

    • Insert a plastic opening tool under the heatsink, and pry the heatsink up and out of the case.

    • The adhesive's strength may vary, and force should be applied gently until it becomes dislodged to avoid breaking the device.
