This guide will show you how to remove the DJI Phantom 3 Standard's battery. It uses a 4‑cell LiPo battery specifically designed to power the drone during flight. Also known as DJI Phantom 3 Standard Intelligent Flight Battery (model number: PH3‑4480mAh‑15.2V).
You may need to remove the battery if it is not charging, if the drone fails to power on, or if you are replacing it with a new one. For more details on these issues, see the DJI Phantom 3 Standard Battery Does Not Charge troubleshooting page.
The Intelligent Flight Battery provides up to 25 minutes of flight time and includes built‑in sensors and protection circuits. Because it is a LiPo battery, it must be handled with care. Do not attempt to open, puncture, or crush the battery. If the battery appears swollen, damaged, or leaking, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it properly at a certified battery recycling facility.
Before beginning this guide, make sure the drone is powered off. Removing the battery while the drone is powered on can cause data loss or damage to internal components.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
