Garmin Edge 830 Battery Replacement

I have a Garmin 820. I've seen a video by NewLife2OldStuff on YouTube and they don't heat the seal. But I've tried their method and cant get the opening tool in the groove.

Is the removal of the screen on the 830 the same for the 820? It looks similar.
