HP Compaq C700 RAM Replacement

This guide will teach how to remove the necessary components to gain access to and remove/replace the RAM module(s).

    • It is recommended that the computer be powered off while working to avoid risk of electrocution.

    • Turn off the computer by pressing and hold the power button located above the keyboard.

    • Locate two phillips head 3 mm length screws on the hatch.

    • Using the PH0 screwdriver, remove the screws.

    • Lift up the hatch.

    • Using the plastic opening tool, open the locks by inserting the tool on the side of the beige locks to release the RAM.

    • Gently pull out the RAM.
