If you have done a logic board replacement, you can reset your Mac's SMC. You may also use this as a first-aid measure if you’re having power issues with your Mac.
Follow these steps for:
- iMac
- Mac mini
- Mac Pro
- Xserve.

Shut down your Mac.

Unplug the power cord.

Wait 15 seconds.

Plug the power cord back in.

Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.

The SMC of your Mac has now been reset.
