Nikon D90 Flash Hinge Spring Replacement

The spring of the camera flash can sometimes wear out and needs to be replaced. This guide shows how to replace the spring within the hinge of the camera flash. Be careful not to strip any screws when disassembling the camera.

    • Using a PH00 screwdriver, remove the two 5.3 mm Phillips screws from the flash casing.

    • Be careful not to strip the screw heads.

    • Then, lift off the top casing of the flash.

These are great tutorials,

I was looking for one on how to fix the pop up flash not locking down,

It was bought second hand and dropped on the logo,

The front panel needed to be replaced,

Now for the Flash that is constantly up.

My flash won't stay down. I think the piece that clips in to keep it closed may have broken. Is there a way to fix?
