Ryobi P202 Battery Contacts Replacement

1. adıma gitThis guide demonstrates how to replace the battery contacts. The battery contacts are soldered and heat shrunk to the internal circuitry of the drill. The contacts are sometimes sold attached to the trigger assembly.

Detach the battery unit from the drill body by pressing the battery release buttons on both sides of the unit and pulling outwards.

Use a Torx T10 screw driver to unscrew all ten 13.5 mm screws from the drill casing to gain access to the interior.

Grip the battery clip and pull straight up to remove the metal battery contacts.

You can now clean the metal battery contacts with isopropyl alcohol.

You don't really need to take apart the drill. You can clean the contacts with Qtips by reaching into cavity. Use rubbing alcohol and long Qtips. Also you can bend the contacts back to normal with a pair of needle nose plyers.
Re snapped contacts, I’ve found this part no. but no supplier yet:
“Ryobi Contact Plate holder 300001044”
Does anybody out there know where to find these as mine has snapped also, not ready to junk it out yet.
