This guide lists instructions for replacing the battery in the Sanyo SCP-8100. Taking out and replacing the battery is also a method of resetting the phone which may be helpful for troubleshooting problems. No tools are required.

Push and hold the button on the back toward the direction of the arrow to unlock the battery.

Lift and remove the battery from the back of the phone.
