Use this guide will show how to replace the USB cable.

  1. Thustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel USB Cable Replacement, Bottom Cover: adım 1, 1 resimden 1.

    • Remove the black 10mm using a JIS #1 screw driver.

    • There are 12 screws.

    • Two of the screws are deep inside the device you might need to use a slim screwdriver.

    • In the picture you see a plastic opening tool instead of screw driver because we did not have our screw driver when we were taking the picture.

    • Remove the two 10mm black screws on the top of device using a Hex 2.5mm Key. Only the two outside screws.

    • Gently pull apart both halves of device to access inside.

    • Using a small plastic opening tool, gently pry up the white connector that connects the USB cable to the board.

Where can I find a replacement USB cable for the Thrustmaster 458?? The one that goes from the xbox to the thrustmaster controller. Thank you.

About the usb cable. Look for a "5 pin Xbox 360 usb cable". The black pin farthest from the soldered wire is a shield ground wire. Just splice that right most black wire with the soldered black wire to ground the board and cable. These 2 black wires on the board are the furthest points away from each other. I found this out by carefully trimming the sheath from around the wires and sliding the shielding towards the remaining cable
