[* black] Remove muff body by rotating 90° and pushing the clips out by hand. The plastic stud is oval in shape and is indicated in green on the image.
-[* black] Remove pad by using butter/dull knife lodged underneath it lengthwise and twisting.
+[* black] Remove pad by inserting a large flathead screwdriver or butter knife lengthwise and then twisting. The underlying plastic should pop off.
[* black] Now it's free! But be careful to not twist or yank the cable.
