[* icon_caution] Be sure you are prying up on the hinged retaining flap, ***not*** the socket itself.
[* black] Pull the trackpad ribbon cable straight out of its socket toward the front edge of the Air.
-[* icon_caution] When reassembling, ensure the cable is inserted all the way into this connector. If this connector is not fully inserted, the keyboard and trackpad will not work correctly, the battery will not charge, and the MacBook's fans will run at max speed at all times. Performance will also be significantly degraded because the battery is not connected.
