	[* black] Flip the Sony walkman so that its rear side faces you.
	[* black] Remove the two screws from the surface of the walkman, using a screwdriver. See the image to locate the two screws.
	[* black] Press the battery plate slightly with your thumb and slide it downwards. This will open the battery-compartment. See the image to locate the battery compartment.
	[* black] Remove the batteries from the walkman.
