Another question. What to do when these force start instructions result in a dead black, unchanged screen?
So I’ve replaced the screen but still have just a blank black screen, when I try turning it on it has the plug in and charge icon pops up, and goes off when I unplug, but nothin else will display on screen!!! HELPPPP!! PLEASE!!

I dropped my phone in the garage it locked my screen when I turn it on it has lines across real colorful but locked I m not able to retrieve contacts or photos from it…is there any hope,? I had to purchase another phone same one iPhone 6s I really need my contacts and photos from this phone?

I just logged into this website again and saw your comment. I wonder if the iPhone still has this issue. If it does, then maybe this can solve the issue. I just realized that I watched a YouTube video yesterday and in the video he has this issue and it came out that the cable that's connected to the screen got loose and it's causing this static glitch on the screen. He fixed it by reconnecting the cable and it was able to power on properly. I hope this helps 😁. U would need to take it to a repair shop to have it checked it could be the issue.
my home button doesnt work, how do i do this without the home button?

Swollen battery kept the home button from properly working on my phone, it spread the case apart slightly. Do you have battery problems?

It is just off, it doesn’t do anything, even I left it hooked for the hole day and it won’t even show the battery when charging. Is there any way to full reset? I do not even care anymore for what I have, I just want my phone back.

It's a big possibility that the battery needs to be replaced so a reset won't do anything. If nothing's happening when u plug it in to charge and u wait 2-3 hrs and still nothing and no battery bar it could mean that the battery needs replacement. I have this same issue. I thought it was a bad cable so I tried it with a new one but it does the same thing and then after some time boot loops but doesn't charge and no battery icon. Hope this helps😁
what if the homebutton does not work? Is there a way to restart then?
i got so incredibly lucky. i actually misplaced two of the screws belonging to the panel that holds down the 3 display connector cables, saying “&&^& it” and only using the two at my disposal. fearing having to buy a new phone (having completed all the steps), i forced a restart and… it works perfectly. no common issues that i had seen in any of these comments. thanks so much!!

I just saw your post on here, I know it's been a long while. I wonder if u still have this issue or did u resolve it. I would like to help u fix the issue. Is this issue on an iPhone? I think that the reason u have this issue after a battery change is the fact that possibly u don't have the 3 display cables connected all the way in that connect to the screen. I heard from a repair vid that when u put them in u should hear a click. If they aren't in all the way it can cause them to become undone partially when putting the screen back on and can cause the phone to malfunction. Doing a hard reset won't help these kind of issues. I hope this helps😁.
