    • Flip laptop over and locate the battery release button

    • Push release button to the left to release battery and gently pull battery from the laptop

    • With the bottom of the laptop facing up and the front toward you locate and loosen the M2.5×9.0 captive screw holding the optical drive into the laptop.

    • Insert a flat-bladed screwdriver or similar tool into the optical drive tab access hole and press the tab to the left to release the optical drive from the computer

    • The optical drive will unlock and pop out of the side of the laptop. You are now able to temove the optical drive from the laptop.
