  • It's not the first smart speaker, nor the tallest, nor the most compact. But it's certainly the Apple-est.

  • Still, it keeps the basically cylindrical form factor typical of 360° smart speakers.

  • Perhaps the most apparent difference is that, unlike the Amazon Echo and Google Home, the HomePod packs an integrated power supply with a non-removable power cable. Update: Turns out it's removable if you pull hard enough.

  • No unsightly wall-wart transformer and Apple very well hid the fact that the cable is removable. (Or at least, it fooled us!) It does have a cool braided cord cover though.

Le HomePod n'est peut-être pas le plus grand de la rangée, mais il est sûrement le plus surprenant.

Il garde la forme cylindrique de base, typique des enceintes connectées circulaires.

En plus du rapport de tailles, la différence qui frappe le plus, c'est que, contrairement à l'Amazon Echo et au Google Home, le HomePod est muni d'un bloc d'alimentation intégré et d'un câble d'alimentation non amovible. (si vous tirez suffisamment fort)

Pas l'ombre d'un adaptateur secteur et Apple a bien dissimulé le fait que le câble était amovible. (Comme si on pouvait nous berner !) Avouons en passant que l'aspect tressé de la gaine du câble a du chic.
