Remove the old adhesive

  • Before you install new adhesive strips, remove all of the old adhesive from the perimeter of the rear enclosure.

  • If you are re-using your existing display, you must also remove the old adhesive from the back of the display.

  • Peel off the adhesive strips using tweezers or your fingers. Start at the bottom and peel upward towards the top of the device.

  • After all the old adhesive is removed, carefully clean the surface with 90% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Wipe in one direction, not back and forth.

  • Don't skip this step, or your new adhesive strips may not bond properly, and the display may fall out of your iMac.

Enlever l'ancien adhésif

Avant d'installer les nouvelles bandes adhésives, assurez-vous d'enlever toute trace de l'adhésif d'origine sur la totalité du périmètre du boîtier de l'iMac

Si vous réinstallez l'écran, enlevez-y également toute trace de l'ancien adhésif.

Décollez l'adhésif avec le bout des doigts ou avec une pincette de précision. Commencez en bas et tirez vers le haut et la partie supérieure de l'appareil.

Après avoir enlevé la totalité de l'adhésif, nettoyez délicatement la surface avec un chiffon non pelucheux et de l'alcool isopropylique (ou alcool à brûler, ou alcool à 90°). Frottez délicatement, toujours dans le même sens (sans faire d'aller-retour).

Ne sautez pas cette étape, sinon les nouvelles bandes ne colleront pas correctement et l'écran risque de se détacher et tomber !
