  • Four metal clips secure the inner speaker bracket to the speaker assembly.

  • Insert one arm of a pair of tweezers under the lip of a metal clip.

  • Use tweezers to grasp the clip by the lip and pull out the clip from its recess.

  • These clips can be difficult to pull out because they have a small locking tab on the back. If you have trouble, you can wiggle the clip back and forth as you pull. To get a better grip, use needle nose pliers.

  • Repeat the process for the three remaining clips.

  • During reassembly, use the flat end of a spudger to fully press each clip into its recess.
