  • The battery is attached to the rear panel with adhesive. Be careful not to tear the orange headphone jack or hold button ribbon cables when removing the battery.

  • Use a spudger to lift the battery and the attached orange cable out of the iPod. If you have a 160 GB iPod, the battery will be thicker than the one pictured.

  • If you have trouble removing the battery, you can use a hair dryer or a heat gun on the back of the iPod to soften the glue holding the battery in place. Be careful not to overheat the battery.

De batterij is door middel van wat lijm in de achterste behuizing bevestigd. Ga voorzichtig te werk en voorkom dat je de oranje kabel van de audio-jackaansluiting en de lintkabel van de "hold"-knop niet scheurt of per ongeluk mee los trekt.

Gebruik een spudger om de batterij en de aangesloten oranje kabel uit de iPod te tillen. Als je een 160 GB iPod hebt, zal de batterij dikker zijn dan de batterij die je op de afbeelding ziet.

Als je moeite hebt met het verwijderen van de batterij kun je ook gebruik maken van een föhn of een warmtepistool. Richt deze op de achterkant van de iPod om de lijm, die de batterij op z'n plek houdt, te verwarmen en verzwakken. Voorkom dat je de batterij oververhit.
