30 Days of Speedrun Answering Questions!

In celebration of iFixit’s 20th anniversary, we are spotlighting the incredible community of fixers!

As you know, we are on a mission to teach everyone to fix every thing, and we can’t do that without you!

Think back to a time when you first became interested in fixing things. Where did you go to get help? Was it to your Grandpa, your Mom, or maybe even a friendly neighbor at a Repair Café

Or maybe you just scoured the Internet… In any case, we’re hoping that you can be that person for someone else.

That’s why we’re launching a month-long speedrun (friendly) competition to Answer as many unanswered questions as possible.

But, there’s a catch!

Your answers need to be accurate, well communicated, and helpful.

It’s not just about quantity, it’s also about quality.

If you’re up for the challenge and want to help inspire others to fix their things, see below for more information.

To Enter: Fill out this Google form with your name, email, and link to your profile. At the end of the contest, you’ll be asked to fill out a follow-up form where you will self-report the number of questions you answered. The iFixit staff will then verify your count, quality, and reach out to you (at the email you provided) if you’re a winner!

Rules: The contest is open to all members of the iFixit community. There will be one mod winner, one alumni winner, and three community member winners for answering as many unique questions as possible within 30 days.

Full disclosure, in this instance, unique answers means providing a high-quality answer that will help many users solve the same problem. Rather than providing the same answer over and over again to the same problem that’s asked in different places on the site.

Prizes: You could win an EET or Minnow or a $50 donation to an (iFixit approved) repair organization of your choice. The repair org donation is for people who don’t need/want more tools or can’t receive packages. All winners will get a thank you card with stickers.

See you on the Answers Forum!
