A friend phone's screen shattered but the phone still worked.

The repair went ok. One of the screw threads were stripped. At first I had used a generic 2mm adhesive and the digitizer came loose. No problems after using the 3M adhesive.

The digitizer and the screen on this phone are separated.
Do not over tighten the screws as the screw threads will stripp.
It's harder to apply the adhesive tape with the phone assembled but not impossible.
A new digitizer cable has to be bended (on marked dotted lines) a little because it will act as a spring separating the digitizer from the phone.
