Want to upgrade flash stick macbook pro A1502

I want to upgrade the flash stick from 256 GB to 512 GB. There is a difference in power on the flash stick ( 3.3V-2.5A older one) and (3.3V-3.2A newer one 512 GB). Is it safe to upgrade the flash stick where there is a power difference ?
