The first estimate of repair at an undisclosed store was $1,200, then at another undisclosed store $460, and thankfully to ifixit the final cost was only $250.

The repair went great! I have little to no electronic experience or tools but a willing friend came over and the two of us went step by step through the ifixit guide. It was a seamless procedure with clear confidence inspiring instructions.
