I'm excited to find out if the middle button is actually a digital crown and whether or not there is NFC. This was built for wear 2.0 after all.
Is it possible to also see a picture of the chip side of the PCB? Would like to see how the 2100 is designed into the board
What should I do if the power button doesn’t work?
I took mine apart for this very thing. The other buttons clearly click, but the middle button was kind of mushy. I don’t see a way to easily remove the button from the circuit board. However, in looking it over, I found that if the circuit board is pressed firmly while pressing the power button, it does get the thing to click. Upon reassembly, I found this to still be true. When the power button doesn’t work, if I squeeze the watch, face to back, and at the same time press the button, it makes contact.
Has anyone upgraded the vibration motor? I love the Zenwatch 3 other than the horrible vibration motor that isn’t even noticeable. I’ve tried looking for the *67U or *67V printed on it in the picture above, but haven’t found any info.
Yes, I used a small vacuum cleaner motor…really gets my attention and everyone else's too.
Lol. You ARE kidding..right??
Thank you for those pictures. I was able to successfully replace the battery in my watch.
No problem, that's what the community is here for

Hello, Thank you for this teardown ! I was wondering , does opening it up mean that I will lose water resistance (1 meter for 30 minutes mentioned on asus website) when I put it back together?
As long as the rubber seal is in place you should be fine, I haven't tested the 1 meter depth, but it did stand up to rain showers and doing the

jeez this was easy… my tick watch pro battery just died (well basically it only has about 6-7 hrs of battery life now) I got a battery for it and saw its basically impossible to get to that battery without destroying the motherboard… before I bought a new smart watch I took out my old zen3 looked this up and I got a new battery into this in about 2 mins and now the thing is back to working like new. I really wish I knew before I buy a smartwatch how easy/hard it is to replace a battery.
Any way to possibly reset watch memory? I'm stuck in “continue setup on phone" screen and no work around. Reset all phone apps, delete data, cache, etc. Closest i can get is phone sees watch, but can't match Bluetooth pin. Watch stays stuck on “continue setup on phone “
The speaker volume doesn't seem to work. I have it set to the highest level and it's still very quiet. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it?
Never had issue with my speaker volume, it's not very loud but I can hear, the known issues I'm aware of is the vibration motor is weak.

My 4 retaining screws seem to have been sealed on by Superman. Are there different variables of T5 screwdrivers that may work better than others?
