Background Information
EndeavourOS is an Arch Linux-based distribution, based on the Antergos distribution. EndeavourOS began development in July of 2019 after the development of Antergos was abruptly ended in May, with the developers citing a lack of time to work on it and leaving the Antergos community behind.
Bryan Poerwoatmodjo, a moderator of Antergos’ forums, proposed the idea of creating a new forum to foster a sense of community among former Antergos users and other Arch-based Linux users. This proposal caught the attention of past contributors Johannes Kamprad, Fernando Omiechuk Frozi, and Manuel, which enabled the original concept of preserving the original Antergos community to evolve into a new distribution. The result became EndeavourOS.
