I have the same issue. Did you ever fix this? I have determined by hooking up an external monitor, that I can see a mouse pointer. That indicates that the OS is functioning correctly. The screen then must be the issue. Update: Did you read what I posted? Or are you replying to the OP? We actually went farther and completed setup of new OS, etc. System is fully functional except the screen. Therefore we're saying it's the LCD, not the mainboard nor software issue.
