Thanks because I knew it could be repaired on iPhone 8+ but I was thinking because in my case with cracked button glass I was Not able too repair touch id. you are always right n you are here :)
going by what’s been said here it’s the actual connector on the Logicboard the very first one at the top take a look at it, Notice anything that doesn’t look right? Wherever the lines are on the screen is where the problem lies in the connector! For example if you have a thick vertical gray line going down the center from the top then the middle prong on the Logicboards connector is damaged and or missing. The same exact symptoms would occur if the same prong on the screens connector was damaged.
Geez that’s a terrifying feeling boy. Anytime we change the housing and then the phone has an issue we automatically want too blame the part lol Remember rule number one always disconnect the battery prior to anything. ***PLEASE NOTE-No service is also a sign of a deactivated sim and/or a blacklisted phone before you go crazy tearing it apart run the imei who knows maybe it just got blocked moments ago this does happen and also try a different sim card,in rare cases the sim card reader that is soldered to the logicboard can be shorted by highly unlikely if not exposed to electric current while wet. If this happens to anyone else I will write this little article too help fix this issue. Step 1- Disconnect Battery Step 2-Disconnect Screen Step 3-Remove the Charging port and Speaker Assembly (bottom obviously). Step 4-Disconnect antenna from Charge port if not already. Now get a guide here and reassemble everything SLOW AND METHODICALLY STEP BY STEP. Turn iPhone on once assembled and Tap...
I got three out with a blue 00 philips with just an ounce of torture, the home button screw was not budging and the ones on the shield I recommend replacing with a Philips if you do actually get them out.I learned that this drive first came about with Nintendo items and so I imagine if you order them for a Nintendo quality kit you will have solved the issue. Thanks Apple Again........
You probably figured this out by now but ill answer the question for those who seek it in the future. Okay firstly if you do not know what iCloud locked/Activation Locked means than please go google it and comeback afterwards.Once an Apple product becomes locked with an activation lock,It will be 99.999999999999% a parts phone because you cannot unlock iCloud, you need the account that its associated with's email and password,A copy of the receipt or you must know the answers to the test questions and the original emails password. In 2014 doulci hack group successfully broke activation lock but then Apple patched it shortly there after and it's not been breached(officially since then). Note:Remember when the FBI was mad at Apple for not unlocking that terrorists 5c?Well The FBI themselves could not break iCloud lol its quite secure so now the phone either needs a new logicboard or its only good for parts and parts are alot cheaper than you would think and the icloud locked phone is not worth much if its not...
Well it could very well be a hardware problem.Let's try changing the wifi antenna.Reason is that when your phone boots up at the logo it checks its hardware and one of the first pieces it checks is the wifi antenna and if it asks wifi to respond and it doesnt it will stay at boot forever,if that dont work check some of the other hardware components that are easily damaged.
As an experienced iPhone technician I can indeed confirm that yes Iphone 5s (1560mah) fits in and is compatible with an iPhone 5c (1500mah).Also I will confirm that it increases the battery life of an iPhone 5c when you install an iPhone 5s battery into the 5c.Its actually a common practice for me.Its absolutely safe do not worry. In fact I clicked on this topic to clear up this matter as I just swapped another 1560mah battery into a 5c lastnight and I wish I had the time and knew how to upload pictures of battery testing to prove it for those who are so worried about the matter, but instead I will briefly explain a few notes. The iPhone 5c I acuired recently had a slightly worn battery so I ran a battery test and the results showed that at 221 charge cycles the iPhone 5c was no longer a 1500 mah but was now just 1354 mah thats roughly 10% weaker than a new battery. So I installed a brand new 1560mah (5s) battery and ran a battery test and my battery life in my new 5c was exceptional at 1 charge cycle the new...
the screw on the right goes into a standoff screw that is screwed into the frame. The left one goes into the logicboard.
If your phone is used most likely it has been repaired in the past and the person that repaired it put the screws in way too tight.
If your phone is brand new And you know 100% it is then the problem is your screwdriver.Stop before you strip it completely and buy a better screwdriver (EBAY).
If you already stripped the screw head take the phone to a shop before you break it.
there are ways to get them out but truthfully it’s extremely dangerous and sometimes your better off quitting while you are ahead.
I just ripped one.Never did a regular 7 thee only iPhone I’ve never done.Im pissd. Not sure if I should just pull another from a good phone or hook it up and see if it still works it looks like there grounding screws smh it’s only because for 2 years I had a used 7 housing I always bump into when going through my parts and whoever had that before me also ripped it but in both spots. So when the charge port wouldn’t come up I broke it smh
I read through this guide for fun and I must say it's %#*@ good,It's by far the most informative and it's full of great never mentioned tips too ensure you don't cause damage,I rarely see any precautions outside of the basics, like remove the battery connection first and we all know what can happen when you don't so GREAT WRITE UP
the clip shown in step 57 the one that resembles a staple,is this necessary?
Im doing a housing swap for myself and I cannot get these back on going on an hour now my hands are huge so im wondering if everything will be okay if I don’t replace these.(normally if it were another person’s device I would never take a shortcut,Never have and Never will in fact I despise this, but it’s my phone so it’s cool).
There's a few common methods for this issue.First let me say that not all the screw heads are the EXACT SAME SIZE.You strip the screws when you use a driver that is too small so let's get that out of the way first so that you don't have this problem in the future.
Now,Method one: use a rubberband
Method two: A brass Penelope or the higher end kind,Not the little black ones that come in common kits but the ones that come with slightly better kits for example they are usually orange. You must first try constant firm very firm that is,pressure when extracting. You want to basically gouge a pentelope head into the screw,if head on fails then go to an angle after that.Be extremely careful with this method as it's better than the rubberband and I find it's always worked for me,You gotta remain careful when doing this or you might end up slipping and causing catastrophic damage to the board.
GoodLuck

If you’re having trouble removing these screws;
the screw on the right goes into a standoff screw that is screwed into the frame. The left one goes into the logicboard.
