My oneplus one's screen got cracked a couple months ago and i got a replacement screen/digitizer along with the midframe...

Had and still have the same problem, certain cause for this is that screen replacement is glued to the midframe, unlike the original one which is double-taped.. as you said, heat does play a strong factor considering it heats and evaporates the glue causing these touch sensitivity problems.
