I know that the Max memory on the original 2006 model mini's is 2 GB. However on the later 2008 model mini's it's 3 or 4...

But isn't the Core Solo within the same A1176 Model line? I think it is. Just look on Ebay for the following processor numbers: T5600 Core 2 Duo 1.83, T7200 Core 2 Duo 2.0, T7400 Core 2 duo 2.16 and the aformentioned T7600. I think you can. All the way up to a 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo T7600. I upgraded my Core duo 1.83 to a Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz.
