Check the cable from the mouth to the motherboard. There is a welding point in the neck. Mine was actually a problem with the welding.
The position sensor must be in the right position when you assemble it back.
Hi, I have a similar issue, for which, in my case, the electric motor is not working any more. I’d suggest you investigate first the gear mechanism (gearbox and mouth attachment) would be mechanical and easier to spot. The motor itself and its connection (cable and plug at the circuit board) and the position sensor. The position sensor can either be faulty or not properly communicating to the circuit due to cable and connection issues. The final possible root cause would be the mother board malfunctioning.

I think that is a rotary resistive position sensor. The motor is the silver one with the black cap and two wires (blue and red) coming out of it.
