I found this while reading step six above more carefully, it sounds like there is a nut at the bottom that unscrews from the shaft that the burr is attached to so that the whole shaft can be removed to replace the impeller. I’m guessing that you could use a marker to mark the position of the limiter instead of having someone else hold it. What a PITA.
“If you just want to replace worn out impeller: hold the limiter steady, unscrew (red square) with clock wise, take out the inner burr. And try to clean and replace the impeller while holding the limiter! You should ask some body to help with this step.”
I'm stuck with the same problem. It looks like from the pictures on this site that sells replacement impellers that the whole shaft is removed with the Burr attached, not just the burr: https://www.shapeways.com/product/52W3D2...
Not sure how they did that though, it looks like there might be some flat surfaces at the bottom of the shaft that could be gripped by a wrench, perhaps it just pull out with force applied to the bottom of the burr?
