I refurbish screens but it isn’t worth buying all the equipment if you’re only going to refurbish one screen as it costs thousands. There are other methods that you can use but they are DIY methods. For example to remove the glass you can use a heat gun and plastic to get under the glass and take it off. Then when installing the new glass, you’d use LOCA instead of OCA, then use an ultra violet light to cure the LOCA glue.
Yes you will get a screen warning if the IC chip isn’t transferred over. Whether its a genuine screen or not you’ll still get the same message. I believe the message will be displayed on the home screen for 4 days, then 15 days in the settings, so be extra careful when refurbishing the original display.
Yes you can test it without transferring them over, you’ll get a message saying “Face ID can’t be activated on this device” as soon as you install the face ID module and put the phone back together, the message will disappear.
Seen as this happened after the repair, it could be a possibility that the gold contacts on the ear speaker have shifted. All that needs to be done is just reseat them, it’s a really easy repair and you only need to remove three screws, the part is easily removable and extremely cheap. I’ll link the repair guide down below just in case you want to go through it. iPhone 6s Earpiece Speaker Replacement
Could be a possibility that they didn’t remove all the old adhesive before they applied the new screen. If they didn’t and they applied new adhesive to fit the screen to the body, it could have caused pressure as it wasn’t evenly seated within the frame.
I’ve had this before and it was a problem with the screen, no matter how many times the connector is reseated it will still occur. I guarantee if you use a different screen the lines will disappear. Just make sure there isn’t any debris on the connectors and check to see if the connector is bent on the cable at all and straighten it out.
Take it from someone who has tried this, don’t attempt to remove the back glass its so painfully slow and the frame is easily damaged. You’d be better off just buying a different coloured housing and just swapping all of the parts over.
Try changing the screws around, I had this same issue and I`d just put the screws the wrong way around. As soon as I changed them back around, the vibrate motor worked perfectly and sounded normal again. If they are the wrong way around, the vibrator will work intermittently and make the entire phone vibrate.
