If you are wondering how to find out if it’s the first gen or second gen iPhone SE, the Second gen (2020 model) has a glass back, while the 2016 model has a metal back. The 2016 model’s sides are blocky, while the sides of the 2020 model are round.
Devamını okuDoes the Apple logo flash on and off every few seconds with the phone plugged in? If so try disconnecting then reconnecting the battery connector, making sure it’s fully seated. if that doesn’t work, try the old battery. If your old one works, then the battery you ordered is faulty.
Devamını okuLooks like the sides of the charger broke off inside of the charging port. Also explains why your new ones aren’t fitting into your phone. You can grab a tooth pick or skinny tweezers and try to pull the pieces out. If you aren’t confident, you can watch how to do it on YouTube, or take it to a repair shop. They should do it for free.
Devamını okuThat’s really weird, I’ve never heard of those problems happening. You could try preforming a Force reset which will usually fix software glitches. do this by holding the home button and power off button at the same time, don’t let go until you see the Apple logo.
Devamını okuTry disconnecting then reconnecting the screen ensuring the connectors go on properly. There are 2 connectors in the middle right side of the screen, the Home Button connector one is the smaller, shorter lengthened one. if that doesn’t work, make sure the home button connector is attached to the screen, it’s under the home button plate. Finally there’s a chance you could have damaged the flex cable that connects the home button to the screen. You can try installing a new screen on.
Devamını okuThe best thing you can do in this situation is to purchase a small screw extractor kit and remove the screws that way. ive personally tried to superglue my cheap screwdrivers to the screw, but that doesn’t actually seem to work at all, at least for me. they seem too rounded out, and too small to use any other method, so I’d say get a screw extractor kit.
Devamını okuJudging by how there is rainbow lines where the part of the screen works, and where the screen isn’t working, leads me to believe the display has been broken. Nintendo uses the screen connectors that slide in, not clip on to their connections, so it’s not likely a connection issue. looks like you will need to buy a new top display.
Devamını okuYou are taking a pretty high chance of doing this. I usually purchase phones in lots, and I’ve encountered 3 phones that had this issue. 2 were an iPhone X, and 1 was an XS. I tested the models by doing what you said, swapping the motherboard into a good housing. Only 1 of the 3 phones I did it on ended up having sound and camera functionality back. you can attempt this repair, as sometimes you can find a locked XR for cheap, and even if it doesn’t work, you will most likely get all your money back from reselling the locked XR what I’m trying to say is from my experience, there is no guarantee it will work, and if the phone has a bend in it, there’s a pretty high possibility of having a board level issue.
Devamını okuNo. Apple is trying to get the most money out of you as possible, and will give warnings like “we can not verify this is an apple original display”, same with the battery. It should go away after about 15 days though.
Devamını okuThis is just from what I’ve researched months ago, as I had the exact same question before I got into repairing devices. Cracked phone screens have a chance of emitting radiation, more than the phone usually does. And punctured batteries, or even not punctured ones, emit fumes that you obviously shouldn’t be breathing in. So from my research *months ago* there is almost no long term health conditions, as long as you are in a vented area, and dont get your hands all up in battery acid, you will be fine. Hopefully this encourages you enough until a health professional can answer in more detail. My grandpa used to work on electronics for over a decade, and he’s living in perfect health, at 86 :)
